StoneArchive follows the story of stone across centuries, from ancient structures to the grand buildings of the recent past, through an interdisciplinary lens.

The platform lets you discover stones used in heritage buildings with immersive virtual tours. You can learn about their general and technical features, find out where they were quarried, and explore other buildings where the same stone appears. Whether you’re curious about architecture, archaeology, geology, conservation, or art history, you’ll find articles, interviews, and news that bring expert research to your fingertips.

Bringing experts and stone enthusiasts together, StoneArchive is the most modern way to get to know historic buildings up close. You can experience it easily from wherever you are, or even while visiting the sites themselves — complete with audio guides if you wish.
